Hey everyone –
A very short post to tell you that Julia was discharged from Children’s Hospital today. We are home and I fulfilled a little dream of taking a dozing on the couch with my little girl crashed contentedly on my chest. Needless to say, we are exhausted; but thank you for following us through this adventure. I’ll have plenty to say after I stare at a wall for a minimum of 24 hours.
Thanks again.

Your Colorado kin knew you could do it Julia, Jocelyn & Chris. Beautiful and brilliant.
I found julias story from a neighbor on facebook. All though we’ve never met, little Julia is embedded in my thoughts and prayers. I am a mother of 3 and can’t imagine what you all have been through…I have shared her story with friends and coworkers, I must say they all are smitten with her! You have prayers and love being sent to your family from many. I wait for the daily updates on her progress and break down with happiness when I read them. Bless you Julia…
Many are celebrating with you. It is amazing what our precious wee girl endured. I am still processing all that happened and what I experienced during the 5 days that I was there. I am priviledged to have shared some of this with you.
You and Jocelyn handled all of this with great strength and grace. Now all three of you need to get settled back into your routine at home.
Just nights ago, as our national family waited to hear the voice of President tell us that the state of the union is strong, this D.C. family was much more glad to hear that “the State of Julia is Strong”! And tonight, I can hear the voice of our mom, Julia’s grandma, saying with the pride, relief and contentment, “all the chicks are in the nest”. Indeed. Enjoy this moment, as we do with you.
What wonderful news!! Welcome home and God bless!!
Hi Jocelyn and Chris! I was SOOOOOOO happy for you guys and your beautiful little girl when I heard that Julia went home. It was an honor to meet such a wonderful couple like yourselves. Julia is so lucky to have loving and proud parents like the both of you. It has been a long road for all of you. Aliyah was such a lucky little girl to share a room with a such a great little fighter like Julia!!! Aliyah has definitely learned from her! Hope we will meet again someday.
