I got an ask from a friend to do her daughter’s senior pictures. I don’t always go looking for those assignments as much, but end up loving it every time. After a summer of a lot of other things going on, it was great to get back into a creative rhythm and Annie was an absolute delight.

I met up with her a couple of weeks prior. She has aspirations to be a pediatric vascular surgeon – the kind that fixes hearts like Julia’s (my kind of lady!). She has a renown piercing gaze that is affectionately referred to as her “stink eye”, but I was able to get some of the most engaging smiles as well – mostly by asking her to visualize edging out her boyfriend on the latest Anatomy & Physiology exam. Yeah – juuuust a tiny bit competitive.

Annie is an enigmatic mixture of badass and heart. She’s going to end up taking the world by storm.
